Build on a Solid Base with Indian Ceramics 2009
As previously announced, the 4th Indian Ceramics will incorporate IBaRT (India Brick and Tile Expo) for the very first time.  India is certainly one of the oldest manufacturers and users of clay brick and roof tile and Gujarat, home to the exhibition, is an important centre for the manufacture of these products.

We expect more and more exhibitors supplying the building ceramics (or heavy clay) sector to make their mark – keen as they are to exploit the opportunities which increasing demand for these products has prompted.

It is clear that we are moving into new territory as we see groups from outside India starting to make serious investments in clay brick manufacturing on the subcontinent.  This will increase the pressure for current plants to be brought up to date and economies of scale should promote the viability of introducing the world’s best plant, machinery and control systems for this sector.

IBaRT is uniquely situated to showcase these systems and lift the Indian brick and roof tile industry up several notches.  There has been firm interest from the sector, particularly innovators from Europe, and so further internationality is assured.

Leading industrialists in India have talked of a figure of roughly US$400 billion being the amount needed to be invested in the country’s infrastructure in just the next 5 years.  The construction part of the picture continues to grow at around 10% per year and current brick and tile capacity will not be sufficient, nor with the equipment presently being used, responsive enough.

Gujarat is your ideal first calling point.  The State is at the forefront of forward thinking on many fronts – two major new wind power projects have just been announced and more environmentally friendly building is also top of the agenda.  Clay building products, of course, fit the bill where these ambitions are concerned – aesthetically, thermally and as a ‘natural’ product.

IBaRT at Indian Ceramics is right on the spot and is the ideal platform on which to base your presentation to all the leading Indian brick, block, roof tile and paver manufacturers
