It's into the 80s!
It's not just the temperatures that are warm in Gujarat at this time of year, Indian Ceramics 2009 has surpassed all expectations at the current stage of planning and has already topped 80% of space sold, a record for the show at this stage.

"In the last three editions of Indian Ceramics" says Kevin Hudson, event director "we would normally be somewhere in the region of just over halfway there by this stage. However, the growing strength of the show's brand, coupled with a return to the the ceramics heartland of Gujarat, has seen bookings soar".

Although ceramics is entering a tricky period, given the global economic downturn, there is no doubting the fact that India continues to provide myriad opportunities for suppliers of quality materials and technology. "One only has to look at the increasing levels of investment in India in the last 12 months from multinationals to see that this is one industry that is determined to ride out the storm and emerge stronger at the end of it. In fact, it is not difficult to imagine that India's ceramic industry will seize its chance here to propel itself to global quality and quantity levels through concerted investment, whilst other countries pull back and lick their wounds" he adds.

International names such as Sibelco, Imerys, Sacmi, System and Eirich, will be rubbing shoulders with a sizeable Chinese contingent and country pavilions from Spain and the UK, as the World's ceramic supply industry take their seat at the Indian table.

Make sure you book your place before the final spaces disappear!
