In 2009 we will integrate the first India Brick and Roof Tile Expo (IBaRT) into the Indian Ceramics event at The Karnavati Club, Ahmedabad, Gujarat – taking place from 3-5 March.

This show, with its particular resonance in the heavy clay industry, will extend the promotion of those companies both from India and also Europe, the Americas and elsewhere in Asia which are specialist manufacturers of brick, block, paver and clay roof tile production plant.

This event section is a recognition of the extra scope provided by our move to Gujarat and of the crucial role that moulded, pressed and extruded clay products play in the local economy.

It is also recognised that all this activity is made possible by the ample mineral resources and specialist expertise that abound here and in neighbouring Rajasthan and Maharashtra .

IBaRT is sure to play its full part and extremely encouraging seeds were sown at the 2008 Indian Ceramics. Gujarat has massive inbuilt advantages for brick and roof tile production in its state-wide gas grid, competitive energy supply and abundant raw material reserves close by. Crucially, however, new plant and fresh expertise is desperately needed to bring extra capacity rapidly into play and we expect that IBaRT will play a vital role in getting all the very best technical assistance right to the heart of the matter.
