More upgrades for Indian Ceramics 2012

30 June 2011

“We are delighted that the University Exhibition Grounds have moved on considerably since March this year” says Derek Burston, Exhibition Director, Indian Ceramics 2012 after visiting the University Exhibition Grounds in June.

“The developments have meant that we will be able to centralise registration in the complex, and now provide additional exhibition space in two linked halls on the other side of the central atrium to the existing major hall”.

“Undoubtedly this will come as great news for those companies on the waiting list that have not been able to secure a space until now as it will create an opportunity for up to 650sq metres extra for 2012. We have also taken the decision to appoint new contractors who, having worked with the likes of UBM and Messe Cologne, will be able to handle this extended project” he adds.

“There is also the great possibility that the Central Glass and Ceramics Research Institute (CGCRI) will be working alongside the exhibition to provide a conference programme. This will be an added bonus for exhibitors, as there will be opportunities for seminars and presentations throughout the duration of the event” he adds.

The news of extended space is the latest in a line of developments:

1.Le Meridien Hotel unveils an exclusive 2012 exhibitor package for companies booking accommodation with them. Full details of this package will be on the website in the next couple of weeks.

2.The leading hotel chain is also taking sole ownership of on-site catering during the event, providing high quality western and asian meal options, as well as basic beverages and refreshments. In addition to taking over and equipping the dining area, Le Meridien will also provide a “bring to stand” option, allowing companies to order directly to their exhibition stand and not waste time queuing to be served!

3.Increased space will permit greater numbers of exhibitors to take part, and permit those looking for expanded stands to the opportunity to push for more space.

4.A conference facility will permit product presentations and information exchange during the event. Full details on how to apply for a conference slot will be available from October onwards.
