Addressing the press at the inauguration, Vijay Aggarwal, Chairman, Indian Council of Ceramic Tiles and Sanitaryware (ICCTAS), said, “With a domestic market valued at Rs 40,000 crore and exports of Rs 20,000 crore, India’s ceramics industry is poised for significant growth, with exports likely to reach ₹50,000 crore in the next five years. To enable this growth, Indian Ceramics Asia is a critical platform as it bridges the gap for 800+ Morbi-based ceramic manufacturers who cannot attend international shows This platform connects them with domestic and international suppliers of advanced raw materials and latest technologies over three days.”

International exhibitor, Eliana Zappalà, Deputy Trade Commissioner, Italian Trade Agency, said, “Many Italian manufacturers are interested in setting up local production in India. Italy is already a major supplier of technology to India’s ceramics industry. We have been showcasing our offerings at this exhibition for several years now, and this year we have a pavilion with 12 Italian companies. Indian Ceramics Asia is a great platform for us to connect with the Indian market. Our goal in participating in such platforms is to showcase our presence and bring the best Italian ceramics technologies to India.”

Mukesh Kundariya, President, Morbi Ceramic Manufacturers Association
“For a ceramics manufacturing hub like Morbi, accounting for a substantial 90-95% of India’s total production, Indian Ceramics Asia serves as a critical platform. The event showcases the most innovative machinery and raw materials for ceramics and brick manufacturing, facilitating product innovation and cost reduction.”

One of the key highlights of this edition was the international pavilions from Italy and Germany, as well as the live demo zone where latest manufacturing and processing technologies were tested in local conditions. The two-day conference program attracted top Indian and global thought leaders who demonstrated latest innovative solutions to
the challenges of volatile costs of energy and raw materials as well as waste disposal technologies following circular economy and sustainability principles.

Creating jobs and upskilling the workforce is a critical concern for the ceramics and bricks industries, and this was successfully addressed through the ceramics job fair at this edition.

About the successful initiatives at this edition, Bhupinder Singh, CEO, MesseMuenchen India, said, “This edition once again demonstrated the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship of the Indian ceramics industry. The vast range of raw materials, technical ceramics, processing machinery and equipment exhibited during these three days will contribute significantly towards unleashing the potential of the domestic industry. We are delighted at the strong positive response to our new initiatives such as the international pavilions and demo zone, in addition to the Innovation Exchange Forum and ceramics job fair. We hope to continue our partnerships with the Indian and international associations as we work on more initiatives to boost the global competitiveness of Indian ceramics.”

Robert Schoenberger, Global Industry Lead, Messe München Germany, said, “The experience at this edition was truly remarkable as it showed the strength and resilience of the Indian ceramics landscape. This offered actionable insights for global companies who are looking to do business in this market. The ideas, networks, and partnerships emerging from this edition will yield solid results for the growth and development of the global industry in general and the Indian industry in particular.”
