Indian Ceramic Asia Expo Concludes with Strong Buyer Momentum and Industry Dialogue – Cementing India’s Status as a Global Ceramics Innovation Hub

Gandhinagar: The recently concluded Indian Ceramic Asia Expo has once again solidified its position as the definitive platform for the ceramics and bricks industry. As the only trade fair in India bringing together the full value chain of raw materials, machinery, technology and solutions in a focused, business-first environment, the 2026 edition transformed 9,000 sqm of exhibition space into a high-octane marketplace for innovation and trade.
The expo welcomed 6,789 trade visitors and featured over 250+ global brands, serving as a critical product launch pad for the latest advancements in ceramic manufacturing. From live machinery demonstrations to strategic B2B networking, the event showcased the entire value chain of an industry in the midst of a technological revolution.
SACMI Engineering, among the show’s leading exhibitors, underscored the edition’s commercial traction. Anand Pande, Managing Director, said, “The momentum this year was exceptional from the very first day. The engagement levels remained high throughout the three days and the visitor quality translated into real business conversations—resulting in high-quality interactions and even the finalization of several onsite contracts. Indian Ceramic Asia continues to evolve, consistently bringing fresh opportunities and a renewed energy to the floor every year.”
System Ceramics echoed the value of decision-maker access at Indian Ceramic Asia. Beyond scale, Indian Ceramic Asia strengthened its identity as a product launch pad and a platform for live demonstrations of machinery and solutions. The 2026 edition also served as a premier launchpad for Aakriti, which, in collaboration with Italy’s OMG Srl., inaugurated its Advanced Extrusion Solution which drew significant industry attention as it enables manufacturers to produce high-value portfolios without repeated infrastructure changes, allowing for faster adaptation to architectural trends and bespoke project specifications.
Reinforcing the importance of direct, face-to-face business dialogue, KEDA emphasised the quality of booth engagement. Edward Zheng, Sales Director – Regional, said, “The visitor turnout was positive, with several factory owners spending meaningful time at our booth. Face-to-face meetings helped us reconnect with existing contacts and accelerate new opportunities. The capacity to discuss strategic business in a professional environment is vital. Indian Ceramic Asia is clearly a key meeting point for the global ceramic industry.”
Saint-Gobain also highlighted the efficiency-driven pull from attendees. Ashutosh Deva, Manager – Sales & Market Development, shared, “We have three different divisions from Saint Gobain exhibiting here. We saw strong response from participants actively evaluating efficiency-led solutions. The experience was smooth and well-managed, enabling focused conversations and productive follow-ups.”
For manufacturing and plant teams, Indian Ceramic Asia continued to serve as a single-window sourcing and learning platform—bringing together materials, suppliers, innovations and technical clarity in one place.
Duravit India highlighted Indian Ceramic Asia’s value for production-led decision-making. Siddharth Borpujari, Senior Manager – Casting, and Sushant Dhamecha, Senior Executive – Planning, said: “Our production team visits Indian Ceramic Asia every year because it brings the entire ceramic value chain under one roof—materials, technologies, suppliers and solutions. Being a shop-floor-facing team, we can quickly assess what is usable, compare alternatives, clarify technical queries in person and identify cost-effective options. Each edition adds fresh learning because new exhibitors and innovations keep emerging.”
Reflecting the shift in global technology access to India, CDK Industries noted the growing maturity of the domestic ecosystem. Akbar Pasha Mohammad, Senior Technical Manager – Tiles Division, said: “What stands out is that technologies we once travelled to Spain and Italy for are now accessible here—India is becoming a serious hub for ceramic innovation.”
A key highlight of Indian Ceramic Asia was the two-day Innovation Exchange Forum, anchored by the theme: “Ceramics for Tomorrow: Sustainable, Smart, and Advanced.” Sessions explored:
- Sustainability: circular economy approaches and energy conservation
- Innovation: advanced ceramics and emerging technologies
- Future focus: re-engineering and materials breakthroughs
Speakers and industry leaders emphasized the value of technical exchange and networking as the sector evolves.
Neeraj Patel, General Manager – Coal Marketing, GMDC Limited, said: “The networking opportunity you get at these events is crucial, enabling us to get in touch with the interested entities… everyone should take the maximum advantage from this event, connect with the companies here and take into consideration the new technologies and changes which are coming into the industry.”
Dr. Purushottam Joshi, Joint Vice President – Advanced Ceramics, Modern Insulators Ltd., added: “As we expand into advanced ceramics, Indian Ceramic Asia has proven to be a strong platform to connect with the right ecosystem—suppliers, technology partners, and decision-makers from India and beyond.”
Underscoring the importance of technical participation, Somany Ceramics called for deeper engagement in knowledge forums. Arindam Chaudhri, General Manager – Quality, said: “My experience was valuable, particularly regarding the depth of the technical forums. I would encourage wider participation—particularly in technical sessions—so teams can take those insights back into R&D and drive stronger innovation within their organisations.”
