Premier edition of Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia 2018 at new venue about to open their gates

Premier edition of Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia 2018 at new venue about to open their gates

The new larger exhibition space is fully booked

The positive mood in the ceramics industry in India continues unabated. This is shown by the record-breaking number of exhibitor applications for Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia 2018, which will take place for the first time ever at their new venue at the Exhibition Centre, Helipad Ground in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India from March 7 to 9, 2018.

“We have recorded a sustained positive mood in the ceramics sector since 2016. This has led to an increasing demand for exhibition space once again in 2018. In order to enhance the event’s professional look, we have decided in favor of a new larger location”, states Dr. Robert Schönberger, Exhibition Group Director Ceramic Machinery Trade Shows at Messe München.

At the previous location, the Gujarat University Exhibition Hall in Ahmedabad, the organizers were reaching the limits of capacity due to the steadily increasing exhibitor and visitor numbers (2017: 283 exhibitors and 7,110 visitors). The decision to change the location was exactly right: the space available will be fully occupied this year already. In the process, a great number of exhibitors have enlarged their booth spaces by up to 30 percent.

Rise in the number of international visitors

Furthermore, there has been a clear increase in the number of international exhibitors. With some 30 percent more occupied exhibition space than in the previous year, a

new record has been set. Considerably more participants will be present in the heavy clay ceramics segment (iBART), in particular. In addition, several countries will be represented at the trade show for the first time ever among a total of 18 countries represented. For example, there will be manufacturers from Portugal and from Iran in 2018.

Top-class conference program

It is not only the well-known exhibitors at the trade show who attract many exhibitors, but also the top-class conference program of Indian Ceramics & Ceramics Asia: simultaneously with the exhibition, the Innovation Exchange Forum will once again offer trade visitors information on current trends and new technologies in the ceramics industry in the form of best practice examples.

After its successful premiere last year, the Buyer-Seller-Forum will open again at the 2018 edition. At a specially organized matchmaking event, exhibitors and top managers from the industry can meet daily between 11.00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., establish new contacts and make deals. In 2017, some 150 face-to-face meetings took place in this manner.

Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia 2018 in Expansion on the New Exhibition Grounds

Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia 2018 in Expansion on the New Exhibition Grounds

  • The two strongest ceramics trade shows of India will continue to be under one roof in 2018
  • Move to the Exhibition Centre, Helipad Ground in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India

Boasting 11,000 square meters, Indian Ceramics & Ceramics Asia 2017 were as big as never before. After several successful events at the Gujarat University Exhibition Hall in Ahmedabad, with steadily growing exhibitor and visitor figures (2017: 283 exhibitors and 7,110 visitors), the organizers reached the capacity limits. Therefore, a strategic decision for a new location had to be taken, which would guarantee a further expansion of the event. The third event as a co-location will now take place at the Exhibition
Centre, Helipad Ground in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India from March 7 to 9, 2018.

Igor Palka, Exhibition Manager of the ceramitec cluster at Messe München, is convinced that this is the right step: “The event location is excellently suited to meet the needs of exhibitors and visitors even better.”

Ken Wong, General Manager of Shenzhen Unifair Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., is confident that moving to the new venue is the strategic step for the future of the events: “The new venue will help the exhibitors and visitors to see the potential future growth of the exhibitions.”

Apart from an area of approx. 15,000 square meters, the new grounds for the Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia trade shows offer an outstanding, state-of-the-art infrastructure. They are deemed to be one of the largest exhibition grounds for international events of India. Moreover, Helipad Ground distinguishes itself by extraordinarily good arrival and parking facilities. The proximity to the government of Gujarat and industry associations also has a positive effect.

Furthermore, the new venue is very well received by international and local key players. This can be seen in the fact that numerous exhibitors intend to enlarge their booth spaces by up to 30 percent.

Thus, the event of the ceramics industry in the Southeast Asian region, which has meanwhile become indispensable, consolidates its position as major platform of the industry and attracts more and more decision-makers from user industries and ever more visitors to the trade show. This leads to synergies for exhibitors and visitors alike, also in respect of the even greater international mix and the broader range of products and services on offer, as all major exhibitors from around the globe will gather on the
extended area.
